Paying It Forward

I love the feeling of helping others. It can be as simple as a smile or as complex as organizing a charity event. During my yoga teacher training, there was a big emphasis on Karma Yoga that resonated with me. I then committed to setting aside 10% of each yoga class to donate to charity. Yoga brings so much joy to my life, I want to use it to be able to bring joy to others. Over the years this money has gone toward kids’ education, women’s health, cancer research, disaster relief, stray animal needs, and the needs of my local immigrant community.

I have sent out a Thank You email to the front-line workers all around the world, inviting them to practice a special yoga video in hopes that it will bring some joy and restoration to those that we depend on and don’t always get the thanks that they deserve. The video is my way of saying THANK YOU! for all you do for our families and communities.

No specific props are needed, but it would be good to have a large pillow, cushion, or wall space available for the end of the practice.
